Week 13 - Finals Week Preparation
A Memorable Journey with MiniKin
Thirteen weeks flew by in a blink of an eye, and I am so grateful to have spent them working on MiniKin, it was a fun, enriching and rewarding, and I have learned so much from MiniKin. From developing its concept, designing it, coding it and conducting design research interviews with it. The data gathered was enlightening and I am looking forward to developing it further beyond my graduation.
Grad Show Preparation
Sticker Making
I am beyond excited to showcase MiniKin during the upcoming Integrated Design and Media (IDM) Graduation Showcase on May 8th. I spent an afternoon learning how to make stickers from Lucia from the IDM’s Print Lab.
Name Card Laser Cutting + Engraving
Having name cards to distribute to visitors of the showcase would be good, so I designed my name card and utilized the Epilog Fusion Edge laser cutter machine at NYU Tandon’s Makerspace to engrave and cut them out.
Final Presentation Testing
Finally, I did a test on whether my final presentation would show up fine on the classroom screen.
And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed following me through my adventure with MiniKin. If you are interested in seeing more of my projects, feel free to visit my portfolio website at:
